Four new teams have joined the third division for the coming season. DartsHolics will split into two teams – DartsHolics 1.0 and the new DartsHolics 2.0, which will have some familiar DartsHolics faces along with some new ones. Former Usual Suspects captain Paul Sommerville is back with a new team – Croydon Crew. Former Black Knights captain Paul Bell will temporarily lead a new team of WADA players, to be known as the 26ers. While the final new team are golf mates, known as The Bogeymen, who have been playing darts at home and are ready to take the next step.
The eight-team Premier C division will play each team twice across 14 rounds with all matches to be played at Croydon Bowling Club.
There are minor changes to the sides in each of SADA’s top two divisions. In Premier A, Dart Vaders join as champions from Premier B, replacing Suvners who are not continuing. In Premier B, DartsHolics 1.0 will come up from Premier C as the reigning champs and will be joined by Lion Kings as Premier C minor premier. These two replace Dart Vaders (Premier A) and Black Knights (not continuing).
There is one team name change in Premier A with last season's 'Toon Squad' to now be known as the 'Checkout Chokers'. Let's see if they live up to their name!
Premier A and Premier B will play each other team three times to make up a 15 round regular season.
The season will pause after Round 2 for the National Championships in Perth but the darts will continue with SADA to hold a mystery doubles competition on 27 July. Doubles partner will be determined by average – highest average player with lowest average player, second highest average player with second lowest average player, etc.
Premier C will have a week off before finals start due to having one less regular season match. This enables finals across all grades to be played at the same time.
There will be 14 teams sharing Croydon Bowling Club as their home venue this season, meaning all boards will be in use every week – a guaranteed packed house!
As is now customary, SADA will hold its presentation night for the season on the Monday after the Grand Final and will also include a darts competition to end the year with some fun.
SADA last had 20 teams in Winter Season 2025 when Premier A was made up of 8 teams (with the other divisions having 6 teams).
The fixtures have also been released to captains via email.
