About SADA

Competition darts suits everyone who has a reasonable grasp of the maths involved! Our Premier B division currently has players who average around 13 (per dart) per night which would mean finishing games of 501 in 36-39 darts. The top end players of our Premier B division average 19 (per dart). Our league is set-up so generally every player is needed to 'chalk' each week by scoring games when they aren't playing. That involves adding the scores of three darts and subtracting it from the total remaining. If you can do that, and can (sometimes) finish a game of 501 in less than 40 darts, you're ready!

In 2024, the South Australian Darts Association is running two leagues - Premier A and Premier B. Both are on Monday nights starting at 7.30pm. The large majority of games are played at Croydon Bowls Club - 64 Blight St, Ridleyton SA 5008.

Teams are often looking for new players, and the league is expanding as more teams choose to play SADA. If you are an individual looking for a team or you have organised a team of 4 or 5 regular players, email sadamatchsecretary@outlook.com.

Teams of either 4 of 5 players can play each week. Teams play 18 matches - 2 x doubles matches and 16 x singles matches. Each match is best of three legs of 501. In teams with 4 players, each player will play 1 x doubles match and 4 x singles matches. In teams with 5 players, 4 players will play 1 x doubles match and 3 x singles matches, and 1 player will play 4 x singles matches. 

In 2024, SADA Members may Associate to DartsSA (to play in DartsSA and Darts Australia events) for a cost of $40. Non SADA Members wishing to Associate can still do so for a cost of $20 to SADA and $40 to DartsSA. Please contact us here for more information and bank details.
